(1) On behalf of the mountaineer group that wants to obtain permission for mountain climbing, the leader of that group should submit an application to the Ministry in the format as per schedule-1.
(2) If an application is received as per sub-rule (1), the ministry, after conducting the necessary investigation in this regard, and if it finds it necessary to grant permission to the applicant, will grant the permission in accordance with schedule-2 after taking the salutation amount as per rule 4.
(2A) Notwithstanding anything contained in sub-rule (2), no climbing permit shall be granted to the following persons:-
(a) not having completed the age of sixteen years,
(b) certified by a doctor as unfit for mountaineering due to any serious illness, or
(c) Without both arms or legs or unable to see with both eyes.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (2), if a mountaineering party pays five percent of the salary amount for Everest Himalchuli and ten percent of the salary amount for other Himalchuli, and if it is deemed reasonable to allow such an applicant, the preliminary mountain climbing permit may be granted in the format as per Schedule-3. .
(4) If the mountaineer team that has received initial mountain climbing permission according to sub-rule (3) pays the remaining salami amount according to rule 4, the ministry will grant the permission according to sub-rule (2) within three days of the payment of that amount. However, if a mountaineer team that has an altitude of less than 7000 meters and has obtained initial mountain climbing permission to climb mountain peaks other than those listed in clauses (a) and (b) of sub-rule (1) of rule 32, wants to change or reduce the members of their team, ten days after the Ministry has submitted the application. Only the applicant will be allowed.
(5) According to sub-rule (2) or (4), the mountain climbing team must take the mountain climbing information (briefing) given by the Ministry before going for mountain climbing.
